Every person has many priceless opportunities in the present moment. There is a survey were Killingsworth and Gilbert’s studies show a 46.9 percent of people are living in the past or future. The results of this study show that living not in the present leads them to an unhappy life. Living a daily routine, where you act as an auto-pilot.

People living in past time, or worrying about the future, where they don’t realize what’s going on in the present moment. A person just does his or her daily routines as a robot or auto-pilot. Do you ever experience this?. If yes continue because I’ll suggest 4 tips that will help you to live life in the present moment.

Most of the time, we are too busy for being worry about the future or thinking about the past; this leads us to don’t live in the present. Those moments are waste of time and we don’t live life to the fullest 100%.

We need to learn and practice to be living in the present. It might take a while, but it is possible.

There are 4 simple tips that are useful for a person to live every day in the present moment. Those tips have helped me and I hope it can be helpful for you too.

  1. Stop thinking about it, and be in the present: When you just arrived at a party and you don’t know anyone. You start to ask yourself do I know them? why are they looking weird at me?, Am I wearing the wrong clothes?. Is this sound familiar?. We tend to live in our mind asking questions and not living in the present. We forget to smell, see the things around us, and others. Mindfulness is a great way to live in the “now”, be yourself and stop worrying about what other thinks about you. Be yourself and practicing mindfulness is a way of letting go your thoughts.
  2. Stop thinking about the past and future: Thinking about the past is a waste of time. Thinking about the future is good, but when you are distracted from work or in a social interaction it is a bad thing. Try to control your mind everytime you feel that your mind is going to the past or future. Breath in and out and focus what is around you. Try to use your senses such as visual, smell, touch, hearing, and olfaction.
  3. Focus on your breathing: This is an easy tip you can apply in any place you are at. When you are feeling overwhelmed with thoughts.First, start to inhale and hold the air for four seconds. Second, exhale slowly all the air retained in your stomach. Repeat this exercise 3 to 5 times and you will see the results.
  4. Tell yourself: Talking to yourself will be kind of weird for most of us, but it’s a good technique to live in the present moment. In this tip, ask yourself where are you? what are you doing now?. For example, if you are at Starbucks talking with a friend and suddenly, you start to have thoughts like: Did I pay the rent for my apartment?, Did I lock my apartment’s door?. In this moment ask the questions, it will help you to realize what’s is going on the present moment.
It’s important to be living in the present moment for a good quality life

Living the present moment can improve your health in a good way. It can improve your social relationships. It can help you to be more productive in your work.

“The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated”

Hello, hallo, hola I’m here again to share what I did recently in the last days. Well I’ve been not bloggin for almlost 4 or 3 days. So what I did was many activities and college lifestyle and work. Activities like I was into a indoor soccer tournament in NIC. This was in monday my last game and final match. We won, our team the untouchables won. All members and friends are international students which is awesome. We took some pictures and after the t-shirt award with a logo saying champion 2016. It was good day. In the other hand, I realized that my soccer shoes hurt my foot’s template and peel off the skin. I couldn’t walk because it hurt me so bad. The next day, was bad too. I didn’t want to go work because I must be stand up for almost 9 hours. So during my work shift I started to feel a horrendous pain in my foot. It was so bad that I lose the sense of touch in my foot and barely can articulate my toes. So when I arrived home I took off my sock and my left foot was swallen.

Anyways the next day was bettermy foot and I had my speech about the abuse of anabolics stereoids. I did better than the last time according to my teacher and friends. Also, Today i watched my speech’s video and I would say it was better than the first one. It is good to see a proceess because I though Im a terrible speaker and put nervous in front of people. But that is not true at all. The most precious complement Teresa my speech class teacher told me that I’m a natural speaker.

The next day on Thursday, I got another compliment from my Comprehension reading class. She told me that she is amaze how my english has improved a lot and that she didn’t expect good answers of my last assigment. This also touched my heart and I felt that I’m progressing as a good english speaker.

Yesterday, friday I fell asleep and missed out my appointment with Erik. I will have to make another appointment for the next week. I called also the vet to take Bonnie for a bath. She really need it, she smells like a dog haha like my mom says. I went to work out and try to be social. I felt awkward having the inicitiave and ask them questions. But it is good to practice these skills because social skills are worth it in a daily life. After, I went to see a volleyball with my pana Edwin. We found 3 pretty girls and wished we can meet them. After we went to eat pizza and in the waiting line we met a guy very friendly and kind. He was charismatic because after talking for the whole time. I remembered saying wow this guy is cool and friendly and Edwin was agree too. Why makes us to like him and have him as a friend.

Now I’m reading this book called “How to win friends and influence people” suggested by Tai Lopez. It makes sense when the book says to make friends you need to be interested in the other’s life, make their life are interesing by asking questions and listen with encouragement. And this is what this guy at the pizza place was doing. Perfectly as it says the book. This guy were asking questions with follow up questions. He was smiling and making eye contact amd he talked with us also have a charismatic tone voice. He sounds  he was interested in what we response his questions. Also I remember not making any questions about him, I only was answering questions he made up. This is really a good lesson to learn and take it as a precious memory. The fact to make friends is to be interest in their lifes amd to know more about he or she rather than show them how interesting is my life.
